Made in the Camarillo Shade: Galtech Gets New Building

Galtech_Photo_1The folks at Galtech recently moved into a much larger facility in Camarillo, Calif. Now operating out of a 50,000-sq-ft building (pictured on left), company officials made the switch to accommodate expected growth over the next five to ten years.

“With the move completed just prior to the holidays, warehouse capacity in 2014 jumped by 30%,” says Jeff Leisen, national sales manager, Galtech International. “The new space makes it easier to stock more products, especially more cantilever umbrellas (pictured on right) which typically occupy a great deal of warehouse space.”

Dealers who have worked with Galtech over the past two decades will continue to find a dedicated team of specialists who strive to make purchasing a Galtech umbrella a positive experience all the way down the line. Galtech_Photo_Two

Galtech shade products are designed with the finest materials available. Aluminum umbrellas use stainless steel cables and patented auto tilt mechanisms, and wood umbrellas are finished with six layers of marine grade varnish to protect and beautify the wood. The selection of Sunbrella fabric caters to many different consumer tastes.

“To those who we have been grateful to serve over the past 20 years,” adds Leisen, “we say thank you for your commitment to our products and trusting your shade business to Galtech International.”

New Poufs from Paradise Cushions are Ideal Accessories

Paradise Cushions by FiberBuilt are lightweight and provide the perfect accent to any seating area.

One of the hottest products of the season is likely to be a functional and decorative accessory known as a Pouf (aka an ottoman or occasional seating). These fun pieces from Paradise Cushions by FiberBuilt are lightweight (only 4 pounds), stackable for easy storage, and provide the perfect accent to any seating area—indoors or out.

Paradise Cushions has responded to retailers’ demands by designing poufs in two popular shapes—square (20-inch by 20-inch by 18-inch) and round (20-inch diameter by 18-inch). Each is filled with durable polystyrene beads inside a protective non-woven fabric insert and upholstered in furniture-grade Sunbrella acrylic fabric.

They are perfect as a seat, or to rest feet. Paradise creates unique color pallets and pattern programs to fit each retailer’s specific needs.

Paradise_Pouf_SiloFiberBuilt’s new offerings are part of the company’s continued growth over the last decade. Paul Knapp (president and CEO), Jordan Beckner (co-founder and vice president), and their staff bring years of industry experience. Paradise Cushions was initially structured for OEM furniture replacement and hospitality. During the past year they have expanded the line to include general consumer replacement through retail establishments.

The company’s facility in Fort Lauderdale, Fla, providers sufficient space for today’s customers, and room to expand for future growth. Company officials work closely with fabric mills to ensure best pricing, delivery, service, and trends. An efficient inventory policy provides quick-ship programs for umbrellas and accessories, and the company is working to offer the same for cushions.

New stainless steel, dome-shaped pizza ovens from Italy offer a contemporary look and choice of powder coat finishes. The ovens feature more interior cooking space than other same-size imports.

Brown Jordan Outdoor Kitchens offers a new collection of hardware featuring Bronze and Patina door and drawer pulls, knobs, ring pulls and levers. Once a design is selected, a representative can work with the designer to further specify functional and decorative products to enhance the project.
